Wow, Great Tournament!

I debated watching another episode of Firefly before bed instead of watching NCAA tournament basketball, but I'm glad I picked basketball this time. Both Duke and Gonzaga losing on the same night despite having the nation's top two scorers... crazy! The Texas / West Virginia game had it all too, with victory decided as the clock expired. What's more, I now have a little bit more Firefly to watch before I run out of episodes, so I won on that level too! Ha ha!

I'd rather watch firefly any day than basketball.

I heard the game where Hofstra lost, the opponents were "muggers". Someone told me that a center player rammed an elbow into a guy's eye, and he landed on the floor like he was dead without a foul.

Does basketball=hockey?

Sometimes I'd rather watch Firefly instead of a sport too, but this time I decided to go with what the situation gave me, and I'm glad I did. The NCAA tournament is only on once a year, and there are only 14 episodes of Firefly. I'm down to my last 3 in fact. So, I went with the basketball, saw some great games, and gave myself another day of Firefly watching before I have to lament the day Fox decided to stick with classics like Trading Spouses over this little gem.

Basketball is as rough as the officials (and rules) allow. Some crews call a looser game than others, but on the worst of days basketball is nowhere near (NHL) hockey levels of brutality. Keep in mind that basketball players don't wear pads, so it takes less to create a spectacle or injury. Despite that, you only get one or two instances like this in an entire tournament that includes 65 teams and multiple rounds of play.

Don't judge the game on an unfortunate elbow incident. Instead, savor the ending of a game like last night's West Virginia - Texas matchup, in which WV tied the game with a 3 point shot with roughly 4 seconds to go, and then Texas won it literally at the buzzer with another 3 before anyone had the time to even process the first shot. Now that is clutch basketball. Woo!

Heh, this is my 3rd attempt at this comment. It got slightly longer each time. This time Firefox had better not shut down and erase my clipboard backup at the same time.
